R decided to have a Halloween Party on 10/27 Saturday, potluck style. I didn’t know what to make at first until I remembered that I’ve been wanting to try out the recipes in Edible Pockets for Everyday Meals by Donna Rathmell German. I tried out the Sausage Eggplant filling with the Garlic Yeast dough recipe. I used a medium looking (3″ diameter?) pumpkin cookie cutter and made these:
Now that I think about it, I should’ve used food coloring in the egg wash and made them a little more orange.. painted the stem… add a face… They came out well though, I just need to stuff them a little more full next time so it doesn’t mimic a jin dui. All air and minimal filling. :p
1. Weirdest thing you have had for breakfast?
* Not sure that this qualifies but I was woken up in the early morning in the middle of sleep and told by my mum to not open my eyes. She fed me some chinese (I assume chinese...) fungus soup thing. To this day I still don't know what it was that I ate or why I had to keep my eyes closed.
