R decided to have a Halloween Party on 10/27 Saturday, potluck style. I didn’t know what to make at first until I remembered that I’ve been wanting to try out the recipes in Edible Pockets for Everyday Meals by Donna Rathmell German. I tried out the Sausage Eggplant filling with the Garlic Yeast dough recipe. I used a medium looking (3″ diameter?) pumpkin cookie cutter and made these:

Now that I think about it, I should’ve used food coloring in the egg wash and made them a little more orange.. painted the stem… add a face… They came out well though, I just need to stuff them a little more full next time so it doesn’t mimic a jin dui. All air and minimal filling. :p
