Garlic Mushroom Pockets

This post is a little late but these were the real reason why I ended up with the challah like bread in the previous post. I chopped up the mushrooms a little too small so by the time I was done cooking, I had only a small amount of filling. I doubled the recipe from the Rathmell book but still ended up with a lot of leftover dough. These were how the pockets each came out looking after I was done stuffing:

I went a little too overzealous with the garlic for this particular batch and the pockets came out very garlicky. Also found out that I shouldn’t roll the dough too thin per pocket. These came out a little drier than I liked and when I took the cheese out of the filling, it was even drier. Next batch came out better… which will be in the next post.
