3.6.9. Shanghai Restaurant

A week before Christmas, a couple of our relatives stopped by for a visit. We all wanted to have some Chinese food so we decided to go to a local Chinese restaurant. We have been to a place called “3.6.9. Shanghai Restaurant” and remembered that the food there was very good. However, we completely forgot that their service was not so great, and that they put MSG (ridiculous amount of hidden sodium) in some of their food. That’s why the food tasted so good.

Personally, I am very sensitive to MSG. I know people who love food that contains this type of sodium because it give the dish a very special taste. Not me! I have to drink a glass of water every 5 minutes for a whole day after I taste food with MSG in it. Anyway, for those of you who are not sensitive to this “hidden sodium”, the food is good. Look at some of the pictures we took of the items we ordered.

The second time, I put a piece of frozen chicken and poured a can of V8 into it, boiled and ate it. Of course, there are other moments when I just picked out frozen food and microwaved them. But, since I try my best to eat personally cooked meals, these were my most desperate moments. 3.
