Why Smaller Food Blogs are Good.

There was just recently an article about Yelp’s “extortion” of restaurants.  Apparently, in order to get help on some negative reviews, retaurants have to pay $350 a month for a business account.  This may not be a big deal for food chains, but for a small mom/pop restaurant, it’s downright unaffordable.  Here’s the article:

Now, I’m not saying Yelp isn’t a good tool, but you should take it with a grain of salt and supplement your research with smaller sites like WhiteCarrot.com (shameless plug).
