My apologies for disappearing from the food blogging scene these past 5 months. I know, it have been a rather long layoff and I don’t really have too many excuses for it. Nevertheless, I have returned and will be working on some of my unfinished posts! In any case, to kick things off, I wanted to start by posting some pictures of the feast we had for my cousin and fellow White Carrot blogger, WutDaPho. He’s been off the food blogging scene for some time as well, but for good reason. He’s currently working towards his MBA degree, so he’s excused. I, on the other hand, don’t have that kind of excuse. Haahaa. Well actually, I do. As you can see by looking around the site. I have been working tirelessly trying to improve the blog. I’ve even ponied up some cash to fund the hosting and spent countless hours designing new graphics for the new site. Like it? I certainly do!
To celebrate WutDaPho’s birthday, we decided to make this a special potluck featuring some homemade meals and take-out food. Below you will see some homemade veggies, dumplings, beef stew (the kind used in Taiwanese style Beef Noodle) and some pork/egg stew. In addition, I went out and picked up about five pounds of shrimp, corn and sausages from good-old Boiling Crab. While my sister Yokomo made her infamous flan and order up some Lechon Asado. Overall, a whole lot of meat and very little in terms of vegetables…that’s my kind of party! ^_^
